The app

Tidestep has no account and no server. Your identity is the one of your iCloud.
Your routines, their steps and your history are stored in your private iCloud database (CloudKit), on your own devices. Nobody else can read them, unstud included.
Nothing else leaves your device: no audience measurement, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDK.
What belongs to a single device, such as caches, stays in the device's local storage, outside iCloud and outside the device backup.
The purchase goes through the App Store. Tidestep only sees the signed transaction.

The site sets no cookie and uses no tracker or audience measurement. It loads no script, font or image from a third party.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. When you visit it, Cloudflare processes the traffic of your visit, which may include your IP address, traffic routing data, system configuration information and other traffic data, on behalf of unstud, and collects and stores network data that it derives from that traffic, such as request volumes, error rates and threat scores.
